This is one of the larger, more comprehensive lathe outfits:
- 6mm collet headstock fitted to 200m long bed, tailstock, slide-rest with lantern toolpost
- Mandril headstock fitted to 200mmm long bed, hand turning rest
- Lathe bench mounting foot
- 23-off 6mm 'even-size" collets including 4.0 & 5.0mm collets to accept the brass & steel collet inserts
- Set of 5 step chucks + 1 ring chuck
- 10-off 5.0mm body brass collet inserts
- 9-off 4.0mm body steel collet inserts
- Comprehensive array of headstock & tailstock inline / offset drive pulleys and centres, runners and push pins
- Wax chuck holder with 4 cement brasses
- Carrier pulley and carrier plate with 8 drive dogs
- 7 assorted 7mm tailstock runners (1 is damaged at 1 end)
- Wood chuck for laps and mops
All housed in a hardwood case with brass fittings. The wooden box has suffered from wood worm attack which has been treated and waxed. there is no key for the lock.
Condition: This watchmaker's lathe is over 80 years old and has obviously suffered some cosmetic corrosion and plating loss. There is remarkedly little wear to moving parts so it remains in generally good serviceable condition and still capable of producing accurate work.
